Appointed OBE in Queens Birthday Honours for services to international family law

I was amazed and delighted and humbled to receive a OBE (Officer of the order of the British Empire) in the Queen's Birthday Honours today for "services to international family law".

It was never expected and when I got the letter about four weeks ago it didn't really sink in. I had to read the list a second time when it was published just before midnight!

I have had incredible opportunities throughout my career and worked with some wonderful lawyers for which I am exceedingly grateful. I have always tried to share what I have learned. I feel this is an official recognition of the huge work being done by so many family lawyers to improve the way we deal with family disputes in England and internationally.
